Mass Street Music is very proud to help support the Baron Wolman exhibit and activities at the Lawrence Arts Center August 26 - October 1. Wolman was Rolling Stone magazine's first chief photographer and captured iconic images of musicians in the 60s. The exhibit opens August 26, during the Final Fridays art walk, and continues through October 1. There are some great events in conjunction with this unique exhibit, including a panel discussion with Bill Snead, Baron Wolman and others on photojournalism on August 26, a lecture by Wolman on August 27, and you can register to win a Yamaha acoustic guitar we're giving away - just enter in the main gallery. Doyle Dykes will be bringing his amazing playing style, and a wealth of knowledge to share to Mass St. Music on Saturday, August 20th for a Guitar Masterclass Workshop. We're very excited about this rare opportunity. Doyle will be sharing Tips & Tricks as well as answering any questions you might have about everything from specific riffs to songwriting. We learned a lot about Eastman's wide range of quality hand-carved instruments, from acoustic dreads, to mandos, to smooth jazz archtops.
