This Keeley DS-1 Ultra Mod is Steve Vai's favorite pedal and it's easy to see why. It's the ultimate Keeley Seeing Eye Mod with extra goodies. The toggle switch allows you to select the Seeing Eye or Ultra mode. The Ultra mode increases the fidelity in high gain modes and increases the total volume a bit to be used as a front end on a high quality tube amp. We've found the differences between this and the standard Seeing Eye Mod to best be heard through say, a boutique amp like a Dr. Z MAZ 38 or a Bogner, a little more open and refined.
