Originally built for David Gilmour and used by anyone who has ever made a classic record, the SS-3 is the "soft sustain" your rig has never experinced until now.This pedal fulfills the void in Pete's pedal line between the extreme gain of the P-2 and G-2 pedals and the pure clean boost of the Linear Boost. The Soft Sustain provides a wonderfully rich and textured mild overdrive that completely retains the harmonic and dynamic structure of your current guitar and amp set up, while adding a nice pulp-like texture to lead and rhythm lines. In its more subtle modes, the Soft Sustain adds a nice grit and punch and in higher gain modes is capable of adding a beautifully amp-like sustain without sounding like a "pedal". In our opinion, this pedal is the last word in mild overdrives, even the best modded Tube Screamers and boutique "cleanboost/overdrives" cannot compare to the clarity and definition this pedal provides. In addition to its superior sonic qualities, this pedal features Pete's proprietary RFI rejecting circuitry and line level buffering for flawless "around the World" operation.
