This is a very, very nice guitar built in the tradition of the finest vintage D -style guitars from the 1930s. In addition to being guitar builders of the highest order, Blazer and Henkes have the benefit of being collectors and restorers of the finest American guitars. This guitar has a traditional mahogany back and sides, ebony fingerboard and bridge and an Alpine spruce top. The Alpine spruce is very similar to the American favorite of Adirondak spruce, yet it is a local wood for Blazer and they feel they can have a better selection. The results are apparent when you play this guitar. It is built with traditional hide glue and nitrocellulose lacquer.
