The M1-Mahogany was produced from 1991-1994. National received so many requests that they have re-introduced it as the M2-Mahogany. It has a laminate mahogany top and back with solid mahogany sides and neck. The body top is bound in ivoroid/black/ivoroid and the body back is bound in ivoroid. Its headstock has an engraved pearloid overlay and three-on-a-plate closed gear tuners. The fretboard is made of rosewood with mother-of-pearl diamond fretmarkers. The coverplate and tailpiece have National's new satin nickel finish. The M2 has all the sonic power of the spun aluminum biscuit cone with the warmth of mahogany wood. USED
