This was our first semi-hollow Set Neck and right off the bat, we were absolutely in love with the weight, right at 8 pounds even. While the semi-hollow adds extra overtones, making this guitar as sweet as can be in the midrange, it subtracts nothing from the ferocity of the Set Neck's overall tone and punch. Ridiculously touch sensitive, the guitar and the custom wound Fralin Unbuckers allow one to cover anything from jazz to full-on "face melting" metal rhythms and solos! The medium large roundback neck, with 6100 frets and 1 11/16" nut width feels like a great old '56 Les Paul and plays as smooth as silk. Tone Pros/Gotoh hardware, inset binding, Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard, ebony headstock veneer and Don's super cool "bullseye" inlays round out the heirloom quality specs. s/n: ST047 Comes with the original hard shell case.
