Originally created in the '50s as a student model, the Fender® Duo-Sonic ended up attracting players through the decades - Hendrix played one early on in his career, when he backed up the Isley Brothers in the early '60s, Johnny Winter modded one, David Byrne, Liz Phair, and Patti Smith are also Duo-Sonic fans. Why? The 22.5 inch scale feels great, the guitar is light (just over 6 pounds), the neck is thin and the guitar was built very well.
