Teisco Del Rey/Apollo Electric Guitars - May Queen (circa 1968)

Eric has been drooling over this since it came in yesterday. This Apollo May Queen dates from '68 or '69. Japanese made, originally under the Teisco Del Rey name, this one is an Apollo, (both made by Kawai) and much rarer than the Teisco branded May Queens. This is in Very Good condition and stands above the Teisco Queens in several respects - simply put this is just made much better! It's loaded with 2 very cool sounding chrome mini-humbuckers (rather than the Teisco single coils), has nice pearloid block inlays, neck and headstock binding, a much smoother Bigsby style vibrato and the neck is great - much more playable than the Teisco models.

"So cool it makes me wanna cry. I put it through a Fender tube amp with some reverb, using the neck pickup and it was the most satisfying clean guitar tone I've heard in a while. Would be perfect for recording". - Eric

This is in Very Good condition, all original with some touched up minor dings here and there, but they don't stand out. The headstock is in really nice shape too, which is unusual - you usually find a chunk missing on one of this vintage. Cool floating trem, nice straight neck. This vintage Apollo May Queen is a cool player, and will certainly turn a few heads. Want more details on this? Just call and ask for Eric cause he won't put it down.
