Fender® Solid-Body Electrics - 1964 Mustang

This vintage 1964 Fender® Mustang is one seriously cool guitar. '64 was the first year this guitar was produced - this one is all original with the original hard case too. It's a 24" scale, with 22 frets and a smaller 1 1/2" nutwidth. It's in Very Good condition with no touch ups, the original frets (great condition), and the normal nicks and scratches you'd expect from a 45 year old guitar. This also has the great Fender® Dynamic Vibrato. The paint, though nicked here and there, is still a vibrant, rich red color, with a nice bit of finish checking.

Originally favored by surf instrumentalists in the 60s, the Mustang found new life in later decades when punk and grunge musicians took a shine to used models for their (at the time) inexpensive price tags, unique trem system, and thinner necks. Players included David Byrne, Patti Smith, Kurt Cobain, Graham Coxon, Adrian Belew, PJ Harvey, Thurston Moore, Todd Rundgren...well it's an endless list really.

This particular 1964 Fender® Mustang comes with the original black and silver hard case with orange interior...and a whole lot of good mojo. This is a great guitar. s/n: L63802 USED
