They're finally here and we have to say this Fender American Special Strat is great - Fender made the right move in creating a truly great sounding, lower priced, made-in-the-USA guitar. You've got an Alder body with a gloss urethane finish and it's loaded with Texas Special pickups - Fender's most popular the past ten years. They've got a great sound and the ability to make themselves known with a nice, fat sound. There are cool details on this too like the '70s bigger headstock, giving you just a tad more mass and sustain, and the finish on this (and the Candy Apple Red) are really well done. This is outfitted with the Greasebucket tone circuits too so when you roll off your highs you're not adding bass. Killer sound, the classic strat versatility and some cool details make this a great deal. Deluxe gig bag included.
