Gibson Mandolins - 1917 A

Really nice vintage Gibson 1917 Gibson A mandolin. This is in Very Good condition and comes with a newer hard case. This has great action with that big, woody vintage Gibson sound and is a great player. It has modern tuners with old style bushings and a new replacement adjustable bridge. The tailpiece is original. It has been professionally refretted with modern, larger frets. The original finish is in good shape, with some finish touch up on the sides and back, which appears to have been reglued at some time. There is a small repaired crack on the bout end of the back too. All in all, this is a great mando, a real player, and gives you that fantastic, big traditional sound. Serial # 37496. $1,200.
