Dr. Z Amps - Z-VerbMPN: Z-Verb I plugged this Dr. Z Z-Verb into a Dr. Z Prescription Junior Head this afternoon and was very impressed with how versatile this unit really is! When a lot of folks think of spring reverb, they think of surf music or old school country. Which, by the way, the Z-Verb nails to a T! I expected it to do that, though. What I didn't expect is how usable it is for adding a cushy pad below leads or jazz comping. It's one of those "it's there, but it's not there" sounds that I love, similar to using a long delay with the mix turned down, but way cooler. Kicking it on will make your overdriven leads sound extremely smooth and, for me, make me play a bit differently, using the reverb unit more as an instrument than an effect. I'll be adding one of these to my Christmas list. Wait, it's only April? Sheesh. - Mass St Staff This pairs beautifully with Z Cabs, but also other cabs. Tube driven, pure Z sound!
