National Resonators - 1932 DuolianMPN: 1932 Duolian This vintage 1932 National Duolian guitar is as right as they get and is in Very Good condition. It has enough play wear to give it "The Look", but it's never been abused. 12 frets to the body with a plain F hole. It was reported that the owner of this was an Abilene, Kansas woman who played in church. The "Frosted Duco" finish is lovingly worn off where a pickguard would be, though these guitars did not have pickguards. The finish is appropriately worn where she must have spent a great deal of time in first position, and the fretboard has identical wear. The case is the original soft shell, also in very good condition. The neck has a very nice roundish shape and is pretty straight, but the angle at the body has come up, as they are prone to do. As a slide guitar, all this guitar needs is a new home and a set of strings. As a fretted guitar, a neck set and refret would make this a great player. I may get around to doing the neck set soon, which is about a $600 job, but wanted to get it on our site first, in case someone wanted it in its untouched condition. - Jim B. s/n: C4496 USED $3,600.00 View all National Reso-Phonic Guitars |
