I ran this through its paces with a 65 Amps London combo along with a handful of Dr. Zs and simply loved every sound I dialed in. The band width on this Korina is a bit wider than an Alder body EJ, which when coupled with Grosh's own P-90s, allowed me to dial up everything from old-school, focused Gibson-esque rock tones to very harmonically rich, jangly Americana tones. It has the mid-low richness found in Mahogany guitars with almost as much top end spank as Ash. It's almost unheard of to have a solid-body guitar with this much chime that can also get so mean. This Korina EJ is one of only two, and we're so thrilled it's here - it's seriously amazing! This wood is outstanding for electrics and due to its scarcity and challenges in procuring pieces large enough, it's not used often today. It was however the basis of the original Flying Vs and Explorers. In the hands of a master like Don Grosh, it really just radiates coolness. This has incredible sustain, yet is super lightweight at 6 lbs, 7 oz. This EJ is loaded with Grosh P-90s with cream covers, and the neck is a killer 12" radius with a Medium/Large roundback shape. The nutwidth on this Korina is 1 5/8". Just an incredible player and something that will only get even better over the years. This is a 10+! This Grosh ElectraJet Special Korina Ltd. Edition comes with a Grosh Limited Edition case as well.
