Marshall Guitar Amps - 1979 JMP 50 HeadMPN: 1979 JMP 50 Head "Out of the four or five late 70s JMPs and early JCM800s I've had the opportunity to play extensively, this Marshall JMP 50 is BY FAR my favorite. Unlike a lot of these models, you don't have to turn the treble to zero and bass to 10 to dial in a good tone. I set everything at 12 o'clock, plugged in, and immediately IT was there. Marshall used beefier power transformers in these models along with early JCM800s, so the classic "wallup" you'd expect is there in spades...plus the larger power transformer allows higher gain settings to retain punch and definition. Depending on where you set the Master and Pre-Amp control, everything from early Eddie, Zakk Wylde and the Young brothers can be conjured up. This is definitely one of the keepers!" - Brian S. This JMP 50 is in Very Good condition and is built like a tank. Nothing complex or fancy here - it's pure rock and one heck of a great amp. You've got one channel, preamp, master volume and EQ -bass, mid, presence, treble. 'Nuff said. $1,200. Consignment item, sorry no free shipping. USED |
