"I've always enjoyed this Gibson Howard Roberts Fusion III model due to it's classy, yet quirky appearance! Replacing the factory pickups with TV Jones is an upgrade in my book and really gives this guitar an open, yet warm and smooth tone. The wide cutaway on the treble side of this guitar helps the guitar sit in your lap a bit more comfortably than other Gibsons, and doesn't have you reaching back with your picking hand like a 335 can. This Howard Roberts beauty is used, and in Very Good Plus condition, with some play wear and a little buckle rash. This one has had the pickups replaced with TV Jones pickups, which work really well here. Howard Roberts brought the jazz guitar to a new level as a musician and as a guitar designer and this reflects him well. This model debuted in 1980 with great refinements like the more open cutaway, a unique control configuration, and the finger style tailpiece with individual string-angle adjustments.
