JHS Effect Pedals - DOD Preamp 250MPN: DOD Preamp 250 When modding the JHS DOD Preamp 250 they replace the chip and several components to give you the vintage Malmsteen sound of the 70's. The original 250 came with the LM741 chip (single opamp) and was known for a smoother overdrive sound. The new design on this pedal calls for a dual opamp and has a direct replacement in the 1458.
