This Blue Chip CT55 Pick is a very pleasant surprise, as is the whole line of Blue Chips! This one was custom designed by Chris Thile for his personal use. These raise eyebrows when you look at the cost, but everyone...everyone who has played one has been blown away. These are made with exacting specs and according to our shop manager Mike H., "These are longer wearing and more consistent than tortoise shell - and hey, they aren't illegal." He was really surprised at the differences between the picks, how great they sound and hold up in the long run. Don't take our word for it, come in the store and try one out for yourself. This particular CT55 is very similar in size and shape to their TAD line of picks. However this one is manufactured in 55/1000 of an inch(1.4mm) thickness and has a custom bevel per Thile's own specs. This is the exact pick that Thile is currently using.
