This exceptional Collings CJ MH SS SB Custom acoustic is unique and one of the finest guitars we've seen from Collings in both tone and looks. Bill crafted this short scale (24 7/8") guitar, and two others for us, based on our owner Jim Baggett's favorite vintage Gibson J-35 including the Adirondack straight (non-scalloped) bracing with three transverse braces (a first for Collings Guitars). This gives the top more natural compression with a really beautiful and classic tone. The nutwidth is 1 3/4" with 2 1/4" saddle spacing, and just look at the burst on the Sitka Spruce top. The back and sides are an almost iridescent, spectacular Mahogany, all set off beautifully with ivoroid binding. We're frankly thrilled to offer these rare and amazing CJs.
