Blazer & Henkes Acoustic Guitars - D-28MPN: BHD28505 This Blazer and Henkes D-28 has a pristine Alpine Spruce top hand selected, cut, cured and made ready by Blazer and Henkes. It's very similar to American Adirondack Spruce in both looks and sound. The back and sides are here are an exceptional select Rosewood. The finish is a wonderful traditional nitrocellulose lacquer finish. Willi Henkes and Rudie Blazer's knowledge of vintage instruments translates exceptionally well to their own instruments, resulting in a wonderful pre-war warmth and true balance. The dimensions of this guitar are very similar to a 1937 Martin D-28. The neck width is 1 3/4" at the nut, 2 1/4" at the 14th fret with a bridge pin spacing of 2 5/16". The neck profile is very similar to the average 1937 dreadnaught. The fit and finish on this Blazer and Henkes is of the highest quality with hide glue used throughout. The neck is reinforced but not adjustable. Hard shell case included. $13,500.
