Gibson Electric Guitars - 1978 Les Paul CustomMPN: 1978 Les Paul Custom If you've been looking for a classic rocker with some serious sustain, this vintage 1978 Gibson Les Paul Custom is it. It's all original except for the bridge pickup, which is a Gibson humbucker. These pickups are super well matched, about 7.6 in the neck and 8.2 in the bridge - nice and gain-y and totally rocking. The neck pickup is dated June 1978, the bridge pickup is a later Gibson hum, but we were not able to date it. It weighs in at a substantial 10 pounds, 4 ounces. This Black Beauty is in Very Good condition. It does have buckle rash and some play wear, including about a one inch ding along the front of the bottom bout (see photos). The gold hardware has tarnished some and shows wear, but structurally this LP is tip top. Lots of fret life left, nice low action, killer pickups and a sweet and fast neck.
