Collings Acoustic Guitars - CJ MhA SS CustomMPN: COLLINGSCJMHASSC-MSM "We have been working on our J35/CJ project with Collings for about a year now and just received this beautiful Collings CJ MhA SS Custom - our fifth inspired by my old vintage J35. This is a natural finish Adirondack top with straight (non-scalloped) Adirondack bracing with two tone bars. The body is Mahogany and is bound with a strikingly simple fine line of ivoroid. The bridge is a traditional rectangular shape or 'straight bridge' with a cut through saddle and 2 1/4" pin spacing. The tiger stripe pickguard is an absolute fit to the overall simple elegance of this guitar." "The tone is bright and crisp, as one might expect from the Adirondack and Mahogany pairing, but the stiffer, non-scalloped bracing and short scale make for a snappy, quick response and even-sounding attack. This Custom CJ is spectacular - Bill crafted this short scale (24 7/8") guitar based on our owner Jim Baggett's favorite vintage Gibson J-35. The nutwidth is 1 3/4" with 2 1/4" saddle spacing.
