You try hundreds of guitars or basses attempting to find "the right one", and then you need to plug into something, right? - preferably, the best amp that you can afford whether you are a professional or a beginner. We carry a wide variety of amps from the simple solid state practice amp to the very best in hand-built tube amplification.
Our employees have owned or tried virtually every brand that has ever been on the market (some of us collect them!). Some are great, and some have been a disaster. When we decide to stock a particular amp or manufacturer, we rigorously judge whether or not we would take it on a gig or a recording session. Whether it's a tube, digital modeling, or solid-state amp, it has to pass our tests of reliability, value, and most of all, TONE! - yes, even the practice amps! If it doesn't, we don't stock it. It's that simple.
The Spider III 15 is without a doubt one of the best amp deals around. This delivers detailed amp models based on some of the greatest guitar sounds created - it's innovative, it's incredibly fun and it's affordable. Check out all these built-in effects:
The Spider III 15 also provides multiple amp channels and nearly every sound you could ask for all in one great amp. Only $99.

The Bogner 2x12 Closed Back Cab is a modern classic - This can rival most 4x12s in sound coverage and the closed back gives you just a little more on the low end. The best thing, aside from the killer sound here, is that the Bogner 2x12 Closed Back Cab is much, much easier to transport than any 412! Chalk it up to Bogner ingenuity.

This Port City Dual 50 head is an incredible 50-watt head, handmade in North Carolina. This was inspired by Blackface circuitry, but has taken it further with nice warmth and clarity. You've got separate Volume, Tone and Bass controls. This has a vacumm tube rectifier giving you more dynamic response, warmth and better compression and sustain. Very cool. This Dr. Z Prescription Junior 112 Combo is killer in all red. This is loaded with a Celestion Vintage 30 and gives you incredible sound in a 20 1/8-inch high combo. This is powered with EL84s, and 12AX7 and EF86 tubes with a 5Y3 rectifier.
Don't let the wattage scare you. This amp is plenty loud, and the most beautiful tone you can imagine. I've been playing the Standard Prescription for about 3 years and I love it, but I can only turn it up to about 1.5. This amp is the perfect wattage. Works better than any amp I've owned with pedals and it's Red! -John.
