Wow! We love this brand spankin' new Grosh Retro Classic Standard! That's right, we said Standard. Grosh has given the RC Standard a sweet treatment similar to the EJ Standard. This has an incredible aged gloss ultra-thin nitrocellulose lacquer finish that gives it a very cool, satin-y appearance with a cool vibe. Grosh pared down customization without sacrificing a bit of tone or quality, delivering everything you'd expect, at a lower price. This is loaded with Grosh single coils for the ultimate sound, 5-way switching...this thing sounds so good.

This Don Grosh DG-193 Set Neck is a masterpiece. It simply sounds and plays beyond what you would expect - even from Grosh. Acoustically it's magnificent. Almost endless sustain and great balance as well. It plays perfectly. There is no other word for it. Plugged in is just the icing on the cake. It can go from Vintage Carlton to Modern Jazz and most anything in between effortlessly. It is just a treat to play and very addicting. This is another amazing example of classic perfection. This Don Grosh Retro Classic- S Shape is a beautiful Mary-Kaye blonde with a Medium Large Birdseye Maple neck. Acoustically the guitar is what you expect from Grosh. It is alive and resonant. Playability is nothing short of perfection.
The Overall Sound: We cannot speak highly enough of the new Grosh pickups. We have done many side by side tests with other famous makers, and there is no question that the ultra-picky folks at Grosh did their homework on these. After all, it was probably a year and a half before they even sent us a prototype. These pickups are the perfect compliment to a guitar leaving no room to step up. Finally, We received this Don Grosh Retro Classic- S Shape just prior to the announcement that Birdseye and other figured necks will be much higher in price from now on if available at all.
