Collings OM1 VN Custom

Collings Acoustic Guitars - OM1 VN Custom

Simple yet stunning, this Collings OM1 VN Custom is superb in every way. Made with a Sitka Spruce top and Mahogany back and sides, this guitar has a balanced, rich tone and fantastic resonance. It has Adirondack bracing, and no tongue brace, which lends a more open clarity to the sound, while still having the focus and response expected from an Orchestra Model body. The playability is outstanding thanks to Collings' expert craftsmanship, and once you pick this guitar up you won't want to put it down.

It has a 'Vintage Now' Mahogany neck, a 1 3/4" nut width, and a high-gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish. Its tortoise-style pickguard, tortoise-style binding, and Ebony peghead overlay provide subtle aesthetic appeal, but with no fretboard inlay and only a simple Walnut backstrip, the natural beauty of this guitar's wood really stands out. Collings SJ Maple Cutaway SB

Collings Acoustic Guitars - SJ Maple Cutaway SB

This used Collings SJ Maple Cutaway SB is gorgeous. With a stunning full-body Sunburst finish and Collings' high-gloss nitrocellulose lacquer, there's no doubt this guitar is an eye-catcher. Aside from the beautiful contours of its Small Jumbo design, it has the perfect amount of aesthetic flare with Modern Diamond inlays on its double-bound Ebony fretboard, an ornate backstrip, and an Ebony veneered 'haircut' headstock.

Built with a wider lower bout and a tighter waist than a dreadnought, this SJ's sound will blow you away. It has the fantastic low-end volume and depth of a large-bodied guitar, yet pronounced and clear mids thanks to the unique shape of its sound chamber. Not only does it sound fantastic, but it plays extremely well. In Excellent condition, this instrument has been well taken care of. There is a tiny amount of lacquer shrinkage in the treble side waist. Crafted in 1997.

Collings CJ G Maple SB Custom

Collings Acoustic Guitars - CJ G Maple SB Custom

This Collings CJ G Maple SB Custom is truly one of a kind. Bill Collings based the design of this, and two other Collings we just received, on one of our owner, Jim Baggett's own vintage Gibson J-35 guitars. One of the things that sets this amazing instrument apart from other CJs is the Adirondack straight (non-scalloped) bracing with three transverse braces giving the top more compression resulting in exceptional classic tone. The top here is German Spruce with a hand applied color with shaded figured Maple back and sides, which is simply stunning - and that burst that Collings does so extremely well. This is all set off beautifully with ivoroid binding and every detail we've come to expect from Collings. An exceptional player with a 1 3/4" nutwidth and 2 1/4" string spacing.

"I'm usually not a big Maple fan in general, but of all the three custom CJs, this is surprisingly my absolute favorite. Incredibly clear, but rich sounding guitar." - John F.

The Ad top combined with Mahogany back and sides is a perfect recipe for an instrument that projects incredibly well. This SJ gives you the very cool 'hair cut' headstock shape and deco inspired fretboard inlays as well. This is an exceptional guitar in tonal quality, playability and appearance.
