This is a really nice 1978 Fender Telecaster. This is Blond on Blond with the original hard shell case. The rear pickup has been replaced with a Fralin Stock Tele and the strap buttons have been replaced with strap locks, but other than that, it is all original. Overall condition we would rate as Excellent for a '78. It is not mint as it has a few marks here and there, some slight arm-wear that is worn through the finish and plenty of back belt and rivot marks, but nothing through the finish on the back and you have to get it in the right light to see it. Couple finish cracks on the face but nothing to cause any structural concerns. Frets are excellent, with plenty of life left. Weight is 8lbs 3ozs. Case is in good solid shape and is the original. The guitar plays and sounds great - all-in-all a solid representation of late '70s Fender. - John F.

Tele fans will find a pleasant surprise with the new Fender American Special Tele. This is loaded with two Texas Special tele pickups, sounds killer and is all USA made at a nice price. It's a gloss urethane body, the neck is comfortable with a 9.5" radius and the Texas Specials really give this a nice, fat kick. We've been impressed with the build quality of these on all counts including the great finishes - here in Olympic White. If you're looking for a real workhorse that you can count on and that really delivers tone wise, this a great choice. Deluxe gig bag is included with this. They're finally here and we have to say this Fender American Special Strat, here in classic Candy Apple Red is great. Fender made the right move in creating a truly great sounding, lower priced, made-in-the-USA guitar. You've got an Alder body with a gloss urethane finish and it's loaded with Texas Special pickups - Fender's most popular the past ten years. They've got a great sound and the ability to make themselves known with a nice, fat sound. There are cool details on this too like the '70s bigger headstock, giving you just a tad more mass and sustain, and the finish on this is well done. This is outfitted with the Greasebucket tone circuits too so when you roll off your highs you're not adding bass. Killer sound, the classic strat versatility and some cool details make this a great deal. Deluxe gig bag included.
