This Fender® Vintage Pro Reverb is in Excellent condition, and sounds incredible. A prime example of the traditional Fender clean tone, with just the right amount of musical distortion when pushed, this 1976 amp is really fun to play. It's ready for the next several decades as it's had a complete capacitor replacement (extremely clean and well done cap job), a replaced reverb tank, plus a Presence control has been added to the back of the chassis (see photo). It also has non-original Vintage Series Weber speakers. All the rest is original.
Our amp tech at Underground Sound recently looked it over and did a few minor repairs for better playability. He exercised and cleaned the controls, adjusted the reverb can output resistance, and he reconnected the added Presence control. He also substituted two 12AX7s in the preamp stage for the lowest noise.
A wonderful amp, this Fender® Vintage Pro Reverb is a great value. $1,000. Consignment item. Sorry local pick up only, no shipping. USED
This Fender TB 1200 Bass Amp Head is part of their Pro line and it's seriously impressive. This gives you 1,200 watts of power in a hybrid tube/solid state head that results in incredible tone and versatility. Perfect for stage and studio. The main key to its sound is the passive tone stack - the backbone of classic Fender guitar and bass amps - in which each control knob setting affects the sound of the other controls, producing big, warm notes. The Overdrive section (gain, volume, blend) sits on top of the clean channel, letting you dial in tones from subtle grind to full-on overdrive.
The Vari-Q is a smart semi-parametric EQ with a user-selectable frequency and 15 dB cut/boost. When boosting frequencies, it automatically widens the focus of the Q for a broader, more musical boost. When cutting frequencies, it automatically narrows the focus of the Q for a well-defined cut (notch). Room Balance is a global EQ shift for cabinets/stage response. A clockwise turn cuts low-end frequencies while raising upper frequencies. A counter-clockwise turn boosts low-end frequencies while cutting upper frequencies. This knob does not affect the XLR out, so you can dial in your stage sound while giving the soundman an unaltered signal. Four-button TBFS-4 footswitch with built in tuner included. When you mean business and need some real versatility and nuances, this Fender TB 1200 Bass Amp Head is the one to go with.
