We're pleased to welcome Gold Tone to our line of fine instruments! We were originally drawn to Gold Tone, founded in 1993 by Wayne and Robyn Rogers, because of the quality of their entry-level banjos and mandos. It's important to us to offer a selection of beginner instruments that are playable and affordable - that's sometimes a tall order in the instrument world! Gold Tone fits the bill nicely with quality parts, professional design, tight fitting assembly, a nice factory set up, and great prices. Originally known for their banjos like the Bluegrass Specials and the Cripple Creek models, they've shown their expertise in making great mandolins too like the GM70F. Check out what they've got to offer in banjos, Resophonic Guitars, Banjolas, Banjitars, Ukes, Weissenborn replicas too... it's a cool company and we are glad to offer them at Mass Street Music.

If you've been thinking about trying mandolin, this Gold Tone GM-50 Mando is a great intro (also makes a great second mando) that won't set you back at the bank. It's not fancy, but it's a real solid player with great sound and looks, and it's a real value. This has a solid Spruce top with Maple laminate back and sides, a Maple neck plus nice detailing like a bone nut and black neck binding. It's a 1 1/8" nutwidth on a Rosewood fingerboard. Love the burst on this Gold Tone GM-50 too. Case not included, but you can add on a Boulder Alpine gig bag here
