We sometimes come across great, used vintage Kay guitars (which you may find from time to time on this page as well) so we were very excited to see the new line of Kay Vintage Reissue! These were made famous by incredible blues men like Jimmy Reed and Howlin' Wolf. They are still made in the exact appearance of the vintage models, with the same killer bracing and hollow chambers that give them their trademark sound and the amazing blade pickups. There are a few modern refinements, including a new metal bridge with adjustable saddles and height adjustments - a great improvement over the original wooden one. The construction is excellent from the finish to the frets. If you've got a penchant for swing, old country or early blues, this is it!

If you're looking for that great early blues sound, rock, swing or early country, you've got to check out this Kay Vintage Reissue Thin Twin K161VCS. Popularized in the 50s and 60s, this classic is back, with its tone chambers and Thin Twin single coil pickups delivering great, raw, bluesy sound with a clean, more natural distortion. Just like the originals, this reissue features the special bracing that reduces feedback. This also gives you the killer vintage mojo, with a few modern enhancements, including a new chrome individual saddle style mounted bridge, with height adjustment wheels - a nice upgrade from the original's wood bridge. Despite the tone chambers, this weighs in at a substantial 8 lbs, 4 0z. Check out Guitar Player Magazine's review of this killer reissue (just click on the page to increase size). This Kay Vintage Reissue Thin Twin K161VCS comes with a very cool vintage style hard case as well.

This Kay Vintage Reissue Thin Twin K161VBK is just a blast to play. All the vintage vibe, but with a more solid feel and great intonation. At this price, these guitars are a total bargain. - John F.
Beautiful retro styled and sounding, here in slick black. A classic favored in the 50s and 60s by bluesmen including Jimmy Reed and Howlin' Wolf, these Kays are back in full force, with the same great tone chambered body (even so this comes in at a hefty 8 pounds plus), feedback reducing bracing, and the sweet Thin Twin single coil blade pickups. The new Kays feature a greatly improved chrome individual saddle-style bridge with height adjustment wheels, instead of the original's wood bridge. A killer guitar for blues, jazz, swing, old country - really delivers a warm, vintage sound with good bite. Can be clean and delicate to delivering some nice grit when you want it.
