This new Jetter Vibe is amazing. There are whole slew of of Uni-vibe inspired effects out on the market -some are great and some are not so great. I can officially categorize this Jetter Vibe under it's very own designated category, simply titled AWESOME! The throbbing, swirly vibe effect this little guy produces is true to vintage voicing and gets along with overdrive pedals very well. I've been playing guitar for about 20 years and had yet to find a Uni-vibe effect this small for a pedalboard, that sounded so close to the original, until now. This brand spankin' new Jetter Red Shift overdrive is incredible! They combined the best of the previous Gain Stage Red pedal and the Gain Stage Purple - making a new, super versatile overdrive. The 'Red' setting is designed after the hard setting of the GS Red, giving super responsive Robben Ford-ish tone while the 'Shift' takes you over to something more like the GS Purple (Plexie fans rejoice! This is indispensable for leads too). A multitude of tonal options are all here, in a true bypass pedal.

Definitely if you are a Ford/Carlton junkie you need this one, but I've been using mine as more of a basic overdrive along with my AC Booster as more of an all-out pedal and it is fantastic. "This Red Shift is nothing short of amazing. You may have heard about the great warm, thick Robben Ford inspired overdrive- this pedal definitely does that, but it's so much more! It has tons of gain on tap and at higher gain settings, the bottom end holds together surprisingly well! It seems with most distortion/overdrives that you end up compromising something - with high gain settings, you might end up sacrificing harmonics for crisper tone and string to string definition OR you get the great harmonics but the low end gets sloppy, taking away from your attack - This Red Shift compromises nothing! It's all here. When I kick it on, it actually sounds like a killer overdrive channel on a boutique amp, not just a dirt box. Between the "Red" mode and the "Shift" mode, you'll find exactly what you're looking for!
