This super small JHS Prestige Booster enables you to buffer, boost and enhance the tone of any guitar or bass run through it and offers a surprising amount of versatility. Whether you want to sweeten your tone or give it some grit, this little guy packs some serious punch.
With the boost knob set to zero, you have in your hands an amazing buffer/enhancer for long cable runs as well as a tool that will simply add some life back into your rig. When the Boost knob is in the first 25% you will get different flavors of the buffer/enhancer as well as slight volume increases. When the Boost knob is set between 25% and 50% you have a powerful, dynamic solo boost that adds definition, clarity and a little magic to your solos and lead passages. When set at 50% or more, the Prestige gives you the ability to break up your tube amp in a smooth and natural way resulting in real tube overdrive from the preamp section of your tube amp. The last 25% of the volume range can completely destroy your amp in the best way possible, resulting in rich soaring sustain, breakup, and on some amps even a smooth warm fuzzy growl.

This JHS Mini Bomb Boost pedal is an excellent, no-frills little MOSFET clean boost. The three main things one should look for in a clean boost are all here in this pedal. Does it add extra noise/hiss? No. Is it true-bypass? Yes. Is it constructed of quality components so you don't have to worry about failure in a gig situation? Yes. That's all you need! Since the early days of Rock & Roll no other pedal has made its way onto more recordings, stages and rigs than the classic Fuzz Face. The Pollinator is JHS' take on a classic design but with some huge improvements. The original as well as most other companies designs have a very low output volume, so JHS tripled the available headroom! You can achieve a wider range of tones now because even at lower gain settings the volume you need is there. Another addition is the external bias knob. This allows you to fine-tune just the right amount of power to the perfectly matched germanium AC128 transistors inside. The bass is tight and focused but still classic and the highs in the JHS Pollinator Fuzz pedal are as crisp as anything we've ever heard in a vintage design.
