This used Don Grosh Retro Classic Hollow T is in Mint condition and has a very cool classic TV Yellow finish. This is light as a feather at only 6 pounds, 7 ounces. Eric has been drooling over this since it came in yesterday. This Apollo May Queen dates from '68 or '69. Japanese made, originally under the Teisco Del Rey name, this one is an Apollo, (both made by Kawai) and much rarer than the Teisco branded May Queens. This is in Very Good condition and stands above the Teisco Queens in several respects - simply put this is just made much better! It's loaded with 2 very cool sounding chrome mini-humbuckers (rather than the Teisco single coils), has nice pearloid block inlays, neck and headstock binding, a much smoother Bigsby style vibrato and the neck is great - much more playable than the Teisco models.
"So cool it makes me wanna cry. I put it through a Fender tube amp with some reverb, using the neck pickup and it was the most satisfying clean guitar tone I've heard in a while. Would be perfect for recording". - Eric
This is in Very Good condition, all original with some touched up minor dings here and there, but they don't stand out. The headstock is in really nice shape too, which is unusual - you usually find a chunk missing on one of this vintage. Cool floating trem, nice straight neck. This Don Grosh ElectraJet Standard Mass Street Music Limited Ed. is our dream guitar. Seriously. As the #1 Grosh dealer, we were invited by Grosh to come up with our dream EJ and Don would make it for us. After we regained consciousness, we put our heads together and came up with this beauty. And it's better than we ever imagined. The finish is a shade glossier than the standard matte finish which really makes the sunburst on this guitar something to behold. Not only does this have our specs which include not two, but three Grosh P90s, but also this color combo will not be used on another EJ Standard during the next 6-12 months, in honor of ours.
