Hand crafted in Maine, this Bourgeois Vintage Mahogany Dread is exquisite. Simple yet beautiful, this guitar is built with the utmost attention to detail, from its choice tonewoods to its construction using hot hide glue. Dana Bourgeois has been making guitars since 1978, and his masterful work is undeniable in this instrument. It has a gorgeous Adirondack spruce top with Mahogany back and sides, yielding a powerful and balanced tone. With a 1 3/4" wide Fossil Ivory nut, it is comfortable to play, and the fretwork is impeccable. It has an Ebony body binding and nickel Waverly tuning machines. Providing a rich, natural sound and great projection, this Bourgeois Vintage Mahogany Dread will not disappoint. Hard case included. This used Bourgeois Slope D Short Scale (25") is a wonderful acoustic whether you're a strummer or a fingerstyle player. The slightly wider (approximately 1/4") lower bout body gives this a nice open sound with great warmth and fullness, while retaining great articulation and response. The Adirondack top and Mahogany back and sides really deliver on volume and tone. It's a real joy to play and has a 1 23/32" nutwidth. Absolutely gorgeous too - the burst is perfect and the body, peghead, heelcap and fretboard are ivoroid bound. This is in Excellent Plus to Near Mint condition with a little light pickwear on the front lower treble bout, but they are all very light. Otherwise beautiful condition. Hard case included.

This Bourgeois Vintage D Custom is phenomenal. Beautiful craftsmanship from top to bottom, this guitar is entirely hand built, made with hot hide glue which improves acoustic transfer, and has extremely high quality fit and finish. It has East Indian Rosewood back and sides, and an Adirondack Spruce top that gives it a quick and crisp response. As if the wood wasn't gorgeous enough, this instrument has stunning herringbone binding, an intricate Zig Zag backstrip, and an Ebony fretboard with Diamond inlay. It has a premium tortoiseshell style pickguard, and a 1 3/4" bone nut that we chose instead of the standard 1 23/32". Most importantly, it plays fantastic, with a pristine feel, great projection, and a rich and balanced sound of its own. A tremendous value for a truly hand built instrument. Number 3 of 10 - This is a great sounding, highly figured, mahogany OM with a beautiful Adirondack spruce top. The tortoise bindings and pickguard complete the understated package. This is a great looking and great sounding OM. This instrument features classic mahogany tone with a lot of bass and fat, round treble. This one already sounds very open and strong.
