The Kay feedback resistant bracing in the chambered body (which still weighs in at a substantial 8 lbs, 4 oz) also had a lot to do with the great sound - and it's here too. This has a parabolic arched Maple back, sides and a 3 ply curly Maple top with uber cool tigerstripe pickguard. One piece Maple neck with Rosewood fingerboard and 12" radius. This Kay Speed Demon was probably made around 1965-66 and has three pickups, a tremolo for cranking out the twang, and it comes with a chipboard case. These Kays have been getting a second look by many folks looking for an inexpensive vintage instrument with a little mojo, and this certainly has that. The frets are a little low, but have some life left in them yet. Consignment item, sorry no free shipping. USED
