Brian gave the this several runs with the matching 112 Cab. Here's his take: "This amp is flat-out FUN! Whether you're a chicken-picker or a classic rocker, this amp will dish up the goods. The Master Voltage control really allows you to dial in just the amount of grit you're after at pretty much any volume. Perfect for jamming at home, for studio sessions, or small clubs. As with all other 65 Amps, the build quality on this This 65 Amps Lil' Elvis is top-notch. The cabinet just feels solid...similar to the feeling you get when shutting the door on a new BMW! Under the hood you'll find Mercury transformers, Sozo caps...this amp is done right. Last, but not least, the built-in biased tremolo is like butta! Very warm and smooth, similar to my old '62 Fender Tremolux." - Brian S.

"I have the 2x12 version of this 65 Amps London and absolutely LOVE it! I probably should have gone with the 1x12 format like this one because it breaks up just a touch quicker than mine...which is something you'll definitely want out of an amp like this. I'm a huge fan of roots rock style music...the Black Crowes, Wilco, Radney Foster, Gov't Mule. This amp, without a doubt, covers all of these bases depending on which channel you plug into. The Vox-inspired channel produces absolutely gorgeous, chimey tones that sit in a live mix perfectly. The Marshall-inspired channel gets a little rougher around the edges - think Warren Haynes and older Billy Gibbons tones. For lower volume environments, I use an Xotic AC Booster to get the grit I want -and I must say, this amp takes overdrive pedals incredibly well. I haven't even mentioned the built in tremolo...it's absolutely stunning and operates in such a cool way. The harder you dig in, the weaker the trem pulsates. Meaning, if you dig into a chord, your attack is clear and defined...then the pulsating trem lingers out. This allows you to play detailed riffs without having to worry about the dip in your trem wave cutting out an important note. Sweet!" - Brian S.
This is by far one of the coolest looking amps I have ever seen. It's beauty however is not merely skin deep, this is an amp that sounds every bit as sexy as it looks. One of the first things I noticed, other than its low poundage, was that it sounds really great at low volumes, not something easily said of tube amps. Of course it really came to life when I cranked it. I found all the tone shaping controls to be subtle but useful, and channel two's tremolo sounded very organic and natural. If you are familiar with Pete Stroud and his connection to 65 Amps then you'll understand right away why these amps don't compromise on tone. - Matt C.

This London is a 2xEL84, Cathode Biased, Class A sound with astonishing warmth, depth, and harmonic richness all in a small package giving you big-amp sound on small stages, in the studio or at home. This takes the classic 2xEL84 vocabulary and pushes it way beyond all predecessors. With the distinct tones of 2 very different 60s 18watt amps in one package, this offers 2-amps-in-one and allows a greatly increased vocabulary.
The Trem channel - 12AX7 based with a single tone knob and an organic Bias tremolo activated by a footswitch. Can really give you incredible classic British tones. The Colour Channel - EF86 (pentode) based with a tone knob and 6-way color switch that adjusts the mid focus. This channel is reminiscent of the British Invasion sound - until you push it hard via the Booster Switch and then it flips into ultra-rich, harmonic saturation. We're happy to be carrying the incredible 65 Amp London at Mass Street Music.
