Martin 1957 D-18

Martin Acoustic Guitars - 1957 D-18

This is about as nice of a 1957 as one could hope to find - the rare Martin that has not had a neck set and does not require one. This has a perfect neck angle. The finish is all original, with no touch overspray. The bridge is new, but exactly the same size as the original and made from a very nice Brazilian blank, matched to the Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard. The frets are original and still in good condition. The tuners were changed to early 60s patented Grovers. The guitar has a great look and sound, and is fun to play. Serial # 154470. Includes newer hard case. $5,795. For more information call us at 1-800-747-9980 or email Jim Baggett directly at USED

Martin 1939 D-18

Martin Acoustic Guitars - 1939 D-18

This vintage 1939 Martin D-18 is an early '39, in Very Good condition and has the wide neck and bridge pin spacing. Though this guitar has a few issues that effect the value, it is about as nice of a prewar as they come when considering sound and playability. The top has four or five shrinkage cracks that were repaired many years ago. They do not move and are not that apparent. The finish is original and has the wear and checking you would expect to see in a 70 year old guitar that has been played, but not abused. The tuners are also original and in excellent working order. The playability is extraordinary, in part due to the high quality refret on a full thickness fretboard. This guitar is a joy to play and has been played by many of my professional player friends. This guitar is often picked out as a favorite from guitars that are at least twice the price. Serial# 72029. Includes non-original hard case. $19,500

Martin OM-28V

Martin Acoustic Guitars - OM-28V

This Martin OM-28V is definitely a stand-out! It has that nice traditional Martin tone that we all love with the vintage looks to match it. The slight V-shape neck is nice and comfortable...definitely my favorite neck profile. Comes with the very plush Martin GEIB style wooden case. Sweet!- Brian S.

This Vintage Reissue Acoustic Guitar has a silky sweet tone produced by a solid Sitka spruce top combined with narrow-waisted comfort and sumptuous appointments. Solid East Indian rosewood back and sides, bold herringbone top inlay, grained ivoroid binding and heel cap, HD zigzag back purfling, and a black ebony fretboard mark this one as a true luxury instrument. Traditional scalloped 1/4" bracing, solid mahogany neck, modified V neck shape, traditional open-geared Gotoh nickel tuners with butterbean knobs, and a Corian nut makes this guitar authentic and ready for years of serious use.

Retail on this Martin OM-28V is $4,099. Minimum advertised price is $3,099. Give us a call at 1-800-747-9980 or email us at for details. s/n: 1371155

Martin 000-28EC Clapton Signature Model

Martin Acoustic-Electric Guitars - 000-28EC Clapton Signature Model

This used Martin 000-28EC Clapton Signature Model is an outstanding deal. This is one of our favorite models - beautifully built, completely to Clapton's own specifications, and includes his inlaid signature. This is also ready to go with a K and K pickup already installed. It's a Spruce top with aging toner, Rosewood back and sides, and a hand fit dovetail neck joint, Gotoh tuners and an Ebony fingerboard. A tremendous player with exceptional sound. This has some playwear and a significant buckle mark on back (see photo), but is overall in Excellent to Excellent minus condition and comes with the original hard case. $2,250. Martin D-18GE

Martin Acoustic Guitars - D-18GE

Really nice Martin D-18 Golden Era in Very Good condition with the exception that there are repaired top cracks (see photo). These were expertly repaired by our own repair shop manager, Mike. This one in particular has a great, full and balanced sound. The D-18GE is one of our favorite Martin models, replicating select pre-war models built during the company's 1930s "Golden Era" of legendary quality and originality. Features include beautiful Mahogany back and sides with a Spruce top finished with an aging toner. This also features Martin's forward-shifted X-bracing, modified V neck and cool butterbean tuners. A good deal on one of our store favorites. This Martin D-18 Golden Era comes with the original hard case. $1,950. Consignment, sorry no free shipping. s/n: 904667 USED

Martin 000X1

Martin Acoustic Guitars - 000X1

This Martin 000X1 is a real steal for the price. The solid Sitka Spruce top on this gives you incredible tone and is matched with Mahogany HPL laminate back and sides for real durability. The just slighty thinner 000 shape on this makes it incredibly comfortable to play without sacrificing volume. You've got a low oval shaped neck with a 1 11/16" nutwidth with a Corian nut and the Stratabond neck, which can pretty much withstand the apocalypse. In keeping a minimalist vibe, Martin delivers real tone at a killer price. A matching hard case for this Martin 000X1 is $99, or try one of our favorites, the Gator hybrid gig bag for $65.

Martin 1970 00-18

Martin Acoustic Guitars - 1970 00-18

This vintage 1970 Martin 00-18 is in Good condition with a few issues, but is structurally sound and a solid player. This is a candidate for a future neck reset. The bridge is currently as low as it will go. There is a small side crack near the upper bout (see photo), and a small crack near the edge of (and due to) the "potato chip" peeling pickguard - a classic issue with this era. All in all though, this is a solid Martin with plenty of life yet. This 1970 Martin 00-18 comes with a chip case. $1,295. Consignment item, sorry no free shipping. s/n: 289142 USED

Martin 000-28M Eric Clapton Ltd. Edition

Martin Acoustic Guitars - 000-28M Eric Clapton Ltd. Edition

This Martin 000-28M Eric Clapton Ltd. Edition is simply incredible. Between this model and the sunburst version, Martin is only building 461 of these beauties -this one is #417. This is crafted from Carpathian Spruce and Madagascar Rosewood - tonally and in appearance amazingly close to Brazilian. This has a really tangible warmth and is very responsive. Really nice appointments - from the inlays and Waverly tuners to the modified V neck, cool Vintage Toner and Style 45 Rosette, this has got some real mojo. Clapton has signed the inner label, and his signature is also preserved in mother-of-pearl between the 19th and 20th frets. This rare Martin 000-28M Eric Clapton Ltd. Edition comes with a Geib case.

Martin 028VS

Martin Acoustic Guitars - 028VS

I have developed a love for parlor guitars and this Martin 0-28VS has me smitten. Such a sweet tone and easy on the eyes to boot. This has a huge sound with more bass than you'd expect out of the smaller body. It feels very alive. One of the coolest Martins I've laid my hands on since beginning work here at Mass Street Music. -Eric

This is simply a wonderful instrument. I like single and double Os and this one is a sweet surprise. Really fun to play and the sound is excellent -bigger than you expect, yet still retains a more directional smaller guitar tone that you want to hear from an instrument like this. Really nice dynamic range makes it a great guitar for studio, live or the couch. The neck is really vintage. It's wide and V'd. Plays really well. I think Martin has a real winner with this one. -John F.

This acoustic has really caught the whole staff's attention! It's a beautiful parlor style with a slotted headstock, and really wonderful sound from the Sitka Spruce top and East Indian Rosewood back and sides. This has a modified V shaped neck with an Ebony fretboard and feels "just right" in your hands.

Retail on this Martin 0-28VS is $4,699. Minimum advertised price is $3,599. Give us a call at 1-800-747-9980 or email for details. s/n: 1354981
