We are blown away by this Tungsten Cortez 112 Combo tube amp! Absolutely a real value in the admittedly well populated tweed amp world. This is versatile, incredibly well made, and really kills it with blues and distorted classic rock... dial back the volume and you've got nice yet edgy cleans...The design of this was based on the classic 5E3 design, with 6V6 tubes giving you 12 watts and 6L6s giving you 18 watts through a custom designed 12" Weber T12Q Alnico speaker. You've also got a pair of 12AX7 preamp tubes here and a super cool rectifier - a NOS Svetlana '75. This is an amp made for getting exactly what you want out of it too -since it's cathode biased, swapping power tubes is super easy with no rebiasing needed. Sweet. This Tungsten Cortez 112 combo is the real deal!

This vintage Kent 531 guitar hails from the '60s and while it never won any 'guitar of the year' awards, it certainly is a lot of fun to play. Garage music fans will love this one. It's got a plethora of switches, buttons and knobs (the switch is handily labeled 'solo/rhythm', in case you... you know, forget). This is in Very Good condition with a few small dings here and there, and the chrome pickguard is scratched up, but overall it's in great shape. This is a Japanese made beauty, rock solid Maple body, with a wide neck and a headstock you could paddle a canoe with. Very fun. If you don't get it, I will. Hard case included. USED

Today was like Christmas morning for me...we received our first Tungsten Mosaic amp - plus ordered this with Tungsten's power transformer upgrade to give it a bit more oomph to the low end! This combo is Tungsten's interpretation of the famous 5F1 Tweed Champ circuit, known widely as one of the best tube practice amps ever created as well as an incredible blues harp player's amp! I have to say, this is a total blast to play. I absolutely love low wattage tube amps because you can drive them hard and remain at managable volumes. I could spend hours with this little guy experimenting with different preamp and power amp tubes. It has a cathode biased design, meaning you can swap out the 6V6 with a 6L6 without any biasing. The 6L6 will give you a bit more headroom, bringing you in to a whopping 9 watts! Plus, you can swap the preamp tube out for a number of different options...12AX7, 12AU7, 12AY7, 12AT7 and 5751 are all accepted. Totally killer and totally fun!! Here is one of the finest Vintage AC30s we have ever seen - Excellent Condition. Very straight and sounds beyond category. All original tolex, piping and grill cloth as well as the screws, original handles, brass vents, logo and serial plate and a clean 'copper' panel (these are more desirable than gray). Holes in the sides are factory and are there for the trolley. This is loaded with original (not reconed) Celestion Blues. It also has the original Woden transformers. Power tubes are older Mullards and the preamp tubes are vintage, but we're unable to date these.
This vintage amp works absolutely flawlessly and in the Top Boost channel, it will peal paint. Simply wonderful Vox tone. The back mounted Top Boost is an exact repro (hole was pre-cut on these at the factory and then hidden behind the serial number plate- you can still see the original holes where it was mounted; this is typical). A grounded plug has been installed. This comes with the original cover and footswitch as well. Photos including detail shots are included below. Serial # 10162N. This Louis KR12 112 Combo is outstanding! This 40-watt masterpiece is incredibly versatile - from classic Tweed tones to metal... really beautiful cleans to full on curl-your-toes metal and every step and nuance in between. If you require great tone and tons of versatility, check this one out. It's also pretty easy on the eyes with a very cool retro appearance.
